Will order new s motor from VW Heritage on Mon My question is how easy to fit for complete novice any ideas what tools I need or anyone in that neck of woods who know what there doing happy to pay of course thanks for looking Alistair

Starter motor is an easy fit, two bolts and two wires, shouldn't be a problem for a novice, done it myself just after getting the van.

Some useful write ups in the wiki: https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Al ... rter_motor" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Careful not to apply power to it until it's fitted or an important bit shoots out and doesn't go back in (easily) :? .
