Hi there, just bought a T25 - multivan 1.6 Td. Fantastic! It has a mains hookup, but I'm not sure how safe it is. Was thinking of leaving the external socket as is, and replacing the internal wiring. Any ideas what I'd need for this? I notice Jk have a complete DIY kit - would this be worth it? Also have a leisure battery connected to the alternator, but none of the internal lights seem to run off it. How quickly would a couple of strip lights drain the main battery? Woulds it be simple to connect them to the leisure battery? Does any of this make sense?! Cheers,

On internal mains wiring, talk to 1664 - he can steer you in the right direction. As for internal lights there are so many different types of low-consumption lighting now since LEDs became that much more efficient but you could start by touring DIY stores and looking at patio lighting which is all 12v (via 240ac to 12vdc adapters) so you have a lot of choice really.
