Hi Guys,

Just removed the dash to prep some window surround welding and noticed that track 7 on the rear of the speedo clocks etc is burnt out!

Image

A) What does this track do?
B) Is it replaceable?

Cheers :)

I do not know what it does but yes you can repair it.
Measure the width of the track.
Go on eBay enter copper track and you can purchase the correct size..
Clean the damage track back to near the plastisized coating. Gently scrape the copper track so you have clean copper. Stick on the new track then solder the joint of the old and new track.

Pin 7 is the power feed for the Clock if fitted.

I tried this once and the soldering iron kept on melting the surrounding plastic. How do you heat it up enough to melt the solder and copper but not destroy everything else? Lol

Speed, you need a small but very hot iron., then you only heat up the track not the surround.

no 7 is for the clock and he does not have a clock fitted.

follow the track - it is not connected!

no 8 - the one below is fuel sensor connector

no 6 above is temp gauge
