Hello all,

im looking for some advice on gearboxes, i have a 86 camper and i need to know if there are any other gearboxes that would fit the 1.9tdi engine for this the gearbox i have is goosed and would prefer to just replace the lot but stuggling to find one close by that would be the one i need. Any advise would be appreciated. would a standard golf gearbox fit or are there any certain specs?

A golf box certainly won't fit.

Which tdi do you have? Or is it a td? Give us the engine code.

A aap will he good for a td if yours is as you say a tdi go see aiden as a stock box will be no good.

A renault uni box would fit with an adapter plate costly though.You could fit a DK code T25 aircool engine cu gearbox.Requires a diesel bell housing and input shaft and linkage .
