Hi guys. I know this subject has been covered many times but I need help. I have quite chunky legs so the height of the seat is important to me so my legs fit under the steering wheal. If you put a straight edge across the top of the batery box under the drivers seat and a straight edge sitting on the seat what is the measurment between the two at the front of the seat(the bit at the back of your knees) on a Saab seat? I have seen a few alternative seats on Ebay but they are all around the 20cm 8'' mark. Mine are 16.5 cm 6'' and the gap between legs and steering wheel is bout 2cm 1''under 1!

There is an Alfa seat fitted in a golf on ebay but that too is 20 odd cm so too high! I dont have power steering so I cant realy have a smaller wheel. Any advice please?

Early MR2 ones apparently fit or Change the steering wheel for a Golf or Porsche one.

I have had a golf wheel on my camper for years, it makes hardly any difference to the heaviness of the steering , it's a myth some weak long haired hippy type made up I think.
You shouldntnt be turning your steering wheel if the road wheels are not turning anyway !
Incorrect tyre pressure makes more difference than the steering wheel
Proper t25 seats are the only ones that fit properly, get some from a caravelle gl if the standard ones are not plush enough for you !
