I posted about this hot start problem a few months back and changed the inhibitor switch on the auto selector but it has made no difference. Having just taken the van down to Valencia and back and been stranded half a dozen times I've had a chance to collect more symptoms.
You can run the van flat out for 5 hours in 34 degrees heat stop for petrol and it will restart faultlessly first kick as usual so long as you do it in the first couple of minutes after stopping otherwise push it off the forecourt and wait 3 or 4 hours.
During the wait the temperature gauge that only strays from straight up in a stationary traffic jam whereupon the fan will cut in as expected, will return to near zero before the engine will fire.
It seems to be to do with the temperature in the engine bay where obviously heat collects after the van stops, taking the hatch off and in desperation as I was about to miss the ferry cooling the engine from the outside with several gallons of cold water seemed to help on one occaision after a 3 hour wait.
The lights all come on, blinking water which stops after a while and blinking oil which does not but when you turn the ignition switch nothing, no solenoid click just a faint fuel pump sounding noise, just as if you try starting in gear........? Can anyone help or has anyone had the same problem?

as above sounds like sticky starter

you could wacking it with a metal bar carfully next time it dosent fire if it starts change the starter or recon it

also clean all the cables and earth points

also check the starter relay is working ok and clean the connections
