Was This spannerboys one? If so, seemed a reasonable price. Good luck with it

yep it was, nice genuine guy that spannerboy, it was last on the road in 1997, he got it mot,d and taxed. i drove 240 miles up north, trouble free. Only thing i dont like is the wind and road noise, my ears were bleeding. Ive now taken the dash out to start sound deadening, iam using 2mm silent coat with 12mm of fire proof acoustic foam, same on the doors but the foam is water proof closed cell 12mm thick. I measured the sound at 92db at 60mph, hopefully it will be quieter when finished.

Does anyone know of this van?, as far as can work out it was a demo model for the dealers for a couple of months before being sold to a roofer who
owned it for a few years. It was then sold to a builder who owned it up until the gearbox broke, A guy bought it had the gearbox fixed and then used it for the last time on the road in 1997, I believe it has been used since then to pull a grass cutter around. Dont know much else until i can find out anymore previous owners when the new documents arrive. It would be great if anyone knows of it or any previous owner, thanks for your time wozza.

I saw that van a few weeks ago. It needs a lot of body work done with lots of panel replacement. If I remember rightly the load bed was gone, the cab gutters had been lashed up with fiber glass the rear panels had gone, all the seams had gone jacking points had been welded from the outside but I expect the inner points might have gone (take the plastic caps off inside the locker doors and shine a torch down) just to name a few points.
Hope you can weld and have lots of time on your hands? Good luck with it though

Blimey Jed! One hell of a wet flannel
Sounds to me the guy needs to focus on the basics (solid bodywork, transmission etc) before stuffing insulation behind the dash
Good luck with the project anyway

I am sure it will be fine and not as bad as it looked when I saw it on a very cold wet day. It does want all under the windscreen done too but thats not the end of the world and most the things that need doing body wise are fairly obvious, its all the none obvious things that usually cost the money. I do like a single cab and look forward to how this one turns out.

where abouts did you see it jed. It does need welding but thats not a problem i regularly weld vehicles, iam just glad i can use this on the road as i do the work, at the mo i have three retos ongoing. The main thing is too find panels for a sika any clues. cheers wozza.
