Does anyone know of anywhere that sells a pre made devon side elevating canvas?

took me 2 mins on google chrome and i dont even own a pop top

Have tried all these before but the last time I asked it was up to 8 weeks waiting time and wanted me to send my old canvas as a template! Hence asked if anyone does 1 ready made!

Hi there - Be interested to hear a bit more about the fabric you've found to make a pop top and what sort of cost ? I've got a Devon too and was thinking it shouldn't be too hard to make a pop top- the challenge for me I think would be fitting it! Julia

Fitting not to bad? Can staple into place on the top 1st then cover with fixing strips! Then you can fix the bottom, I usually fix the corners 1st then you can pull as taught as you need? Screw the rest of the strips down and cut off the excess

Thanks for the link and fitting advice. Had a look at the material - sounds the biz and good price but not sure about black!! Hadn't thought of starting from scratch but will check out fabrics a bit further - cheers Julia

Hi Si - did you have to send yours as a template? How did you think the quality of fabric compareswith the original? And how did the fitting go?!! Sorry for all the questions julia

Hi,

Nope bought off the shelf, blue n white stripe, it was thicker and the seams appeared better than the original.

The fitting took just a morning, best advice is to fit it to the top section first.

I forget the guy in the shops name but he was very helpful.

No worries thought the link was for a grey material sorry but you can get it in a few different colours,
I may even try the link that si give you today see if they have a canvas ready made to send out?

Tried this morning and its 8 weeks waiting

I had a look at Si 's link - interesting and the ease of having it ready made is tempting It's more on my want list than a need list and while I can feel myself being lured in doing something about replacing my canvas the sensible bit of me says I've spent enough this year already on the van!
