2.5m is the best length I'd say... Comes just a tad forward of the B pillar! As for brackets they're about £70 for 3 .... Models not sure i found an old 80's Ali finished one...

What type are you after Paul.....Hard box Cassette, wind out style? the easiest and neatest but obviously the most expensive...
Fiamma F45S (used to be F45Ti)
The size has changed slightly from 2.5m to 2.6m (with the new F45S model)
Now
also available in BLACK.

I'm not saying these are the cheapest...shop around once you know exactly what you're looking at.

I'm also looking for advice on which brackets to use to fit a Fiamma f45S to my van. I have a Holdsworth poptop.
Should I go for the gutter brackets or try to fix to the wall of the poptop using the fibreglass brackets?
I think that fixing to the fibreglass wall would look better as the gutter brackets do make the awning stick out more.
I can't easily get to the rear of the fibreglass to put something in to spread the load. Would there be to much stress on the fibreglass wall?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

It's TWO brackets by the way not three.

You mean actually fix the awning to the elevating roof? I can't see how this would work.

Not the sides of the pop top but the fibreglass base that is attached to the roof of the van. The walls to this are about 14cm high and would take the extra wide brackets that are made for fixing to fibreglass.

Couple of question then (being thick...)
When they quote the length of the awning, does this mean how far it comes out when extended, or how far along the van it goes.
And, is it worth going for the F45 (which I think is self supporting) or the F35

1. Yes the length along the van and not how far it comes out.....(2.6m looks best but you can use a 3m)
2. F45S is the top model for our vans..can't realy comment on the F35 only to say that I know it's a manually pulled out awning with legs and in a hard case as apposed to the F45S which is the same but has the addition of a wind out mechanism (arms and legs) a bit more rigid and easier to erect.
