wot have i drilled through

after making a swivel base, i fitted it today on the passenger side but when drilling holes to fit plate i drilled through a white plastic bottle type thing under the wheel arch does any of you fine fellas know what it is.

You can repair the hole with chemical metal. Ensure you get a petrochemical resistant version of it. It's called Pro Seal Epoxy.

:rofl yeah put my hands up to that one not usualy that stupid....basically i cut two plates 17 inch bu 17.5 inch by 3mm,i drilled the spotwelds out of the original seat runners and binned them.i then fixed one of the plates to the floor.theres a 16mm hole drilled through centre of both plates with a 3 inch circle welded in as a strengthener. i then fabricated a made to measure battery cover to tidy it up.will be finishing it off tomoz.if you want to pm me your mobile ill send you a couple of pics.

It's all right I drilled through a central heating pipe fitting a ply floor - despite measuring carefully and marking where to drill! Water and electric drills don't mix. :oops: :oops:

Winding a load of masking tape around the drill bit usually stops it going through any further than you want, if not sure what's lurking beneath.
