An amp and a sub would be a good start.
In order to get a decent sound though, your basic kit (head unit, cables and speakers) need to be of a reasonable quality.
What size of speakers are you running and where are they located?

Not he best pic in the world, but just in front of the coke cool box is a sony powered sub woofer I got for £12 off fleabay....
Not mega powerful, but adds some woof to the rest of the system which only has 4" speakers.....

Two at the back up at the air con and two in the front on the doors all four are 9inch so amp and sub and quality leads thanks reimotim

It's a powered sub woofer (built in amp 200w) ...there's loads on fleabay, i just wanted one that wasn't physically too big, and had a flat top to put stuff on!
