I started with the floor, then did the upholstery. Both made a difference but the upholstery made a HUGE difference - especially as I did the front seats too so all of 'downstairs' matched. Have a scan of materials on ebay, there's literally thousands of options out there but you need to have a good imagination to picture how your van would look. I deliberately left the curtains as a conversation starter, men only see "red" or "orange", women see terracotta

Thanks guys.... 2K I don't have!!! * gasp*
I'm happy to make curtains and find vinyl for flooring, just don't want to waste money or stuff it up!
Recommendations would be great.
I'd probably shell out for rock and roll bed and upholstery/covers.
Found this website .. they make covers? Nothing much wrong with the foam. Overpriced?

Do your floor and cabinets yourself. Takes time but worth the savings. All you need to do is sand, prime, paint and top coat cabinets. That way you get whatever colour and finish you want.
Get your shades out cuz here is my attempt...

If you or someone you know can sew, curtains are dead easy to make, and even covers for the rock and roll bed cushions aren't difficult, and search eBay for fabrics, or local shops (we live in the middle of nowhere so don't have shops

well, not many anyway) and if you need to replace the foam you can get that either online or at foam or upholstery places. I bought a piece of vinyl for the floor, not very well fitted but it looks ok and does the job, with bits left over, again from eBay. Cupboards? Well, ours have been left as they were, not brilliant but they work and are inoffensive, oh apart from taking off some red lining fabric in places and using either the main sand colour or some vinyl, bought to do the r&r bed cushions. Pics are on here somewhere.

Loving the ideas and pics. Thank you everyone! I loved that ORANGE!
I'm onto someone who quotes me' less than 560 for the two front seats' and ' less still for rock and roll bed'
Er.. going to see some material samples when I have free time.
I've uploaded some designs and think I might be going for black floor and brown or deep burnt orange upholstery and curtains.
What thinks you ?

Can't remember, was a couple of years ago now, we had curtains, curtain runners, cushions and covers all done. Wearing well and plenty of choice.
4" foam top 2 being memory, very comfy.
Prices on the web site.

Hi RobH !
Loved the pic of the interior. Is the bed a R&R? If so, what type is it, who did you get it from and how has it performed?
By the way - attention all readers - I have just joined the Club 80-90 and this is my first post! I have a 1990 high top with nothing inside except 2 front seats and a 3 seater bench at the back. Planning to start by putting in a double R&R and then building around it. Am I crazy???

Welcome!
It's an R n R made by The Camper Shak based loosely on this
http://www.thecampershak.co.uk/galleryi ... lleryid=87 as it's a twin slider.
I fitted it and it's been great, couple of bits of edge trim loosened but they have stuck back OK.
I've been over 17st and the bed is plenty sturdy enough, we do tend to use a dry weave under mattress sheet to cut down on condensation.
