rear wheel bearing renewal

hello everyone.
need to replace my passenger side rear wheel bearings and need to pick your brains on a couple of things
1/ do the bearings themselves need a press to get them in and out
2/do you need to do both sides even if one side is ok
3/is it a reativley easy job to do, and roughly how long will it take or is it easier to get a garage to do it

1/ do the bearings themselves need a press to get them in and outyou can knock them out if you are careful, you need a socket around the same size as the bearing, then tap them out/in. this is how i did mine, when i do mine again i'll remove the bearing housing and take them somewhere and get them pressed out/in
2/do you need to do both sides even if one side is ok no you can just do the side that is playing up
3/is it a reativley easy job to do, and roughly how long will it take or is it easier to get a garage to do it easy-ish, allow half a day to a day depending on how rusted on all the bolts and nuts are

Have a look at Jed the Spreads video clip of doing this, it's the easiest way to do it and not too arduous. I posted a thread on this a few months ago of doing this job. I bought two spare hubs to fit new bearings into which saved time and means that you have spares again for ten years time!
