Flashing red light temperature gauge? help please

Hi all, have had a look in the archive and cant find anything for this problem.

All seems fine with my f reg t25, but the light in the temperature gauge has started flashing.
The temperature is fine, we done thousands of miles in her including long trips and it always runs about half way or under.
The oil and water levels are both good.

Im not sure if this light is puerly for temperature or could it be something to do with another electrical part, it might have had an imobaliser at some point.

Thanks in Advance

Shem

Thank you ...blush ;)

It sounds like a faulty reading then...will start working through the possible then!

When that red LED starts to flash, that's a low coolant sensor warning. You may get a false reading, look at the pressure tank. If it's full, then its the sensor. That sensor may just need some cleaning up, either the electrodes on the end of it inside the coolant or the connector on top of it outside of the tank. Also check the wires for any breaks crack etc.. To clean the ends, try CLR. It works real well at cleaning the gunk off!
