Recommended engine battery

Hi,

I've just spent the morning trying to fix a non starter. I have come to the conclusion that I think the battery is past it.

It is a jx engine, what is the recommended replacement battery?

My battery is in the engine bay and not under the seat, therefore size is not such an issue.

Cheers Tim

P.s. I have searched the wiki, but didn't find anything.

UK code 100 (68 - 72ah with 660-700CCA)

If you do a 'battery check' using the various websites checker tools, most will have the CODE 100 as the higher capacity alternative choice...in other words, plenty of ooooomph for those cold starts. Incidently, the same 'higher powered' battery I would recomment for the petrol engines but in their case they have to contend with substantial volt drop over a very long starter lead.
