Much turning over needed to pump it back up and restart. I've replaced the pump and the fuel line

any ideas?

Sure there's not a slight leak somewhere? All the fuel lines in the engine bay good? Maybe just enough of a leak to let air back in and drain down the pipe to the tank.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I BOUGHT MY T25 A MONTH AGO,THE LOCAL VW CAMPER GARAGE FITTED A NEW CARB KIT AND IT STARTS PERFECT HE ALSO SAID FUEL CONSUMPTION IS POOR BEFORE
