At a guess I would say you are missing a length of blue pipe and a hot water cylinder?
No idea what's on the other side but I suggest it is the combustion side of the heater.

I could never understand why anyone with a relatively small camper like ours would want to use up valuable space for a water heater instead of simply boiling a kettle on the cooker ?

Well quite, I have never had one in a camper before and have to say never missed it. TBH my last camper didn't even have a fixed bed... But since its fitted I thought I'd have a go at getting it going.
The answer apparently is its a Carver Cascade 2, missing the water tank and the bar that goes inside and holds it on. Everything else inc the controller is there.
Ringo, thanks for the post didn't see that on my googles.
