Cabin Steps Just Kampers

Hi All,

Dumb question I know but I've just ordered 2 replacement cabin steps from JK. In order to fit correctly do I need someone to cut out the current one and weld it into place. The Wiki seems to stop at ad hoc repairs so I couldn't check. They both look alot bigger than the current step,do they actually fit ?

I know there was an article in camper magazine but as I'm going to have to find a man to weld is it a straightforward job with the replacement parts.

As always any help appreciated!

Cheers Stu

Have a look at my thread. There's a bit to do with cab steps in there somewhere.
Most people tend to make their own cab steps depending on how far gone they are.

Pictures always help.

Schofields panels are usually better than JKs.

all aftermarket step repair panals (genuine included ) are crap, so buy from whoever you wish. either way they need welding in, so find a guy thats ok to do them , if you find a welder that is acapable then this is how to do them correctly,IMHO
