Open canoe on hightop

Hi,
I can't see how it could be possible but my wife is really keen to combine our open canoe adventures with a return in the evening to our Autosleeper hightop. Tbh, it would be a great combination.

I thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone has managed this. Our hightop has built in mini rack at the back which I think I could fit a Thule style cross bar, however the front end slopes away steeply.

If anyone has been successful, or had disaster trying I would be keen to know.

We don't want to buy another canoe (i.e. inflatable, or kayaks) and canoe is too heavy to side mount.

Thank you,
Mark

Hi, even if you could mount roof bars up there it's an awful long way to try and get a Canadian up there unless you've a really flashy light weight one.
If you really want to persevere with an open boat (I don't blame you I love Canadian canoes) perhaps a trailer might be your best bet. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Try song of the paddle forum they might have some suggestions.
