rusted in bolt,

I have a 1303 Beetle with Mcphearson strut suspension which I am putting new springs in.

One side was fine/done.

On the other I have removed the nuts from the two bolts at the bottom of the strut. One will slide out but the other just won't budge. I've hit it with a lump hammer, Plus Gas, heat, and repeat but no joy. Tried to get a breaker bar on it to spin it but there is not enough room.

I guess it is rusted in there.

Any ideas on how to shift the bugger?

basics first ,lots of WD40 and time let it soak in over a few hours .keep giving it a spray every now and then,if still no move. how much heat do you get on it ? i use a plumbers propane torch and get it red hot then shock with a hammer or impact gun

Sometimes if had to resort to an air chisel to punch them out. Might be easier to take the leg off from the bottom ball joint and then hold it in a vice to work on.
