Standard battery question

Hi All,
Just jumped into my 1.9 petrol van and battery was dead. - not quite dead, dash lights came on but faintly, nothing from starter.
I hadn't left my lights on, but the rear window demister was still turned on - would this have drained the battery? (If not any advice what to check!?!)
I've taken out the battery which doesn't look too old, but does have screw caps over the cells, rather than maintenance free, so I might take the opportunity to replace it anyway.
The current unit is a 063, cca sae 360amps ah(20h) 40amps.
Is this the correct spec for the van? Will any battery with these figures fit straight in? (There seemed to be loads of space under the seat, but I see from reading other threads that size matters!)
Thanks
