I am useless at colour schemes etc. So hoping someone may help me.
Need to finally put a flooring in my van, already got plywood floor just need to cover it.
Ideas please on vinyl, carpet etc. and colour to match grey carpeted interior.

I would never again have carpet, it holds all the sand when you visit the beach, it stays wet forever on a rainy day and is still damp and very cold next morning when you get out of bed onto it!
Cushion flooring is the way to go I think, wipes clean, sweeps easily and you can drop a mat on it if need be

As for colour... That's a girl thing, whatever is cheap !

With you on the carpet issue.......as for the colour, any girlies got ideas?

i would always go for a dark non descript colour.....

personally i dont like black and white chequer board, laminate, grass, carpet, pebbles, straw,bricks...or anything like that.

industrial grade rubberised, non slip medium grey lino.....everytime for me.

I'm with the vinyl suggestions. I got a cheap off-cut from e-bay and had enough to cover the seat bases and the sliding door card. I fitted it in one piece up the front of the rear seat front and under the vent cover opposite. This almost turned the floor area into a wet room. It makes getting the sand & mud easier after a day on the beach or moors. I also got an off-cut of industrial carpet to use as a door mat for really muddy days.

To this , a very cheap and easy improvement. Lino all the way, easy to clean and can be changed when the fancy takes you.

Following on from previous post, dont spose you have a name for the lino?

Im going for lino of any colour underneath and a full size and shaped fake grass rug on top, should be great in the summer

Sorry no name, we just kept looking for a suitable replacement for the van and found this in a carpet shop in Barrow in Furness, we did find lots of lino available mainly at carpet shops that sell remnants It's a personal choice and the look of them is always different than viewing them online.

The remnants can be had for very little money.

used some laminate flooring that i ripped up from our house when we moved in. Loads available on freecycle or loads in my shed if anyone wants some.

When we got our Hi-Top, the guy who built it used some pale grey carpet all over the floor. I said to him at the time that whilst I was going to buy the van, I had reservations about the carpet choice. He said "you're right of course, but it will look dead posh for a week or two" I admired his honesty. This post reminds me I MUST get around to removing it (it's in a right state now, just a year later) and fit some lino and a (non slip) rug !!
