Essential Spares List

Hi

No doubt this has been asked before but I have tried searching and can't see anything so here goes...

I'm travelling round France for a month this summer (July-August) in my 26 year old 1.9 petrol (hopefully by then LPG) water-cooled T25 Syncro; what spares do people suggest I take with me?

Thanks

Thanks!

Ok. At the risk of sounding like a doofus; I'm going to book her in for a service at a local garage before we go away - what, specifically, should I ask them to check/ change (assume 18 months since last service)?

Owner?

Only joking, usual stuff is air filter, oil/filter change, gearbox oil if it's never been done, ditto fuel filter, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor, coolant with fresh antifreeze in, check (possibly change) brake & clutch hydraulic fluid, check tyres and spare (including walls), brake pad wear, fuel lines.

Check wheel bearings, CV joints, brake pad and sho thickness, waterpump and alternator for bearing noise, check for leaks and fraying hoses near the clips, check the underside of the stat>pump steel pipe, check the back of the t'stat housing. I have posted a very comprehensive list of what I carry (especially when we go abroad) ... it was on the 'engine lid' thread in Gen Chat.

Seriously though, cheers for the help - I am learning (slowly). Not had the van long and not been to any shows/meets yet to get any ideas.
