They aren't surface scratches - it has been hit hard and there is , by the look of it, one hole and crazing of the gelcoat. Proper repair needed from what I can see.

What would you recommend to repair this please?

Further investigation is needed on the inside as it looks as though it may have been caused by something hitting the inside. Hard to tell you how to repair without seeing it closely.

I've checked the inside of the van and it appears fine. This is just on the outside of the high top.
