Fuel mixture co setting and timing

Hi there I have an 86 1.9dg on a pierburg 2e3 carb, have just removed two large vacuum leaks -one from the brake booster hose and the vacuum advance pipes were leaking. Now it was set up with these air leaks present so now I have removed them I need to reset the mixture and would also like to check that the timing is correct.
I have an analyser and timing light so can set them properly.
I have got an old manual that gives some settings but was wondering if there is a more tried and tested set up .
Van feels down on power and drinks fuel. I imagine these settings are in the wiki somewhere but I can't find them

the correct timing mark is already on the crank pulley... 5 deg BTDC... V notch.( U notch is TDC)
The mixture is set at 1.5 % CO. +- 5%
The mixture setting is only for tickover, as the main and transfer jets are set in stone.
These vans drink it anyway.

that's the info I needed, thanks.
Just want to make sure its right as it feels a bit down on power now ive cured a few problems. Pulls away lovely now those air leaks are gone, no more jerky low revs but not much pull on full throttle.
Need to check my vacuum advance is working properly as I can keep sucking on the pipe but not sure if its doing what its meant to.

If you can suck air its letting more air in and not advancing

Should it get to a point where I cant suck it any further? as at the mo I can keep putting vacuum through it endlessly. I can hear the diaphragm moving though, will take the dizzy off tomorrow and have a look to see if its moving.

Yes you should not be able to suck continuously.
Air is weakening the mixture.
