First syncro breakdown!

Got stuck in third gear today! No warning, just got to roundabout, depressed clutch....and wouldn't come out of gear :(

Called AA - attended within half hour!! :D

Disappeared under van....asked me to wiggle the stick....and hey presto....gears!!

so...it seems the bushes that support the linkage are worn, and it needed lifting a bit. So a bit of a bodge with a couple of cable ties, and we had gears to drive home. So....this is all at the gearbox end. So my question is....are these bits the same as the 2wd here? Can it all be replaced? is there something else I need to look at. have the bently and have studied it, so know what the bits look like....but I'm not sure if the 2wd and syncro are the same??

With it iifted, it changed lovely....better than previously....xx

all help, as always, appreciated

All the wearing parts are the same, the big bits are different.

I positively crapped myself when the SA did that, just as I rolled onto the drive last summer. The last bush was so badly worn that the "ball" climbed out of the "cup" and jammed the whole thing solid

I didn't want a 3rd gearbox rebuilt in as many years...
