If nobody here has one to offer I'd suggest searching German ebay for " eberspacher steuergerat b2l". Thats where I got mine from as the two in the van when I bought it didn't work and gave different symptoms. I just searched tonight and there is a plastic looking one there that I have not seen before (and no idea if it is suitable) but the two metal ones look correct.
Make sure you get a 12V one as some are 24V. If you buy and don't speak German, google translate is handy.
If you need a second opinion on yours PM me as I pass Uxbridge a few times a week on way back from work and could try it in my van which has a working D2L diesel heater. I presume you have checked the fuse in it.

If someone is qualified enough to pronounce that the ecu is dead they should know where to source one! They are available new at around £250 or were not so long ago. There are a couple of places that will repair them - one is in Lowestoft but can't remember their name at present or find it in my bookmarks. Maybe they have closed as I have just tried searching for them.
Seach on ebay.de for Eberspächer Standheizung Steuergerät or Eberspächer Steuergerät (Copy and paste) otherwise you will turn up nothing with the English letters!
What is the part no. on the ecu?
This may be the one that you are looking for:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Steuergeraet-fue ... rid=229487
Note how ebay changes the spelling Steuergeraet Eberspaecher from Steuergerät Eberspächer .
Belay that - I have you mixed up with someone else - you have a B2. Wait a minute.
Try this one:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Eberspaecher-Ste ... rid=229487

It's not a case of will it fit!
That second one at £50 looks to be totally the wrong one. I can't find the number that you quoted but there is one at £50 with the number 25 1599 500000

Was going to suggest those correct spellings first but noticed if you miss off the umlauts ebay.de knows how to handle and throws up an extra hit with my lazy spelling.

Looking back to when I got mine I cross referenced the ecu part number with a tech document listing the Westy models and this shows different parts for diesel and petrol so I reckon now there is no point me trying your B2L ECU on my D2L heater. Document is the same as that found at
http://hotfile.com/dl/74447844/506485b/ ... L.pdf.html and has a really useful troubleshooting flowchart in it albeit in German. The bit with the part numbers is on page 17.
Oldiebut goodie, could the Lowestoft repairer you were thinking of be Eber-basto? - see ebay shop at
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Eber-Basto?_tr ... 7675.l2563 for contact details.

No - they were down on Wireless Green in Lowestoft at one time - not Cambridgeshire!
Sometimes you can repair them yourself if it is something simple like a duff diode or burnt out track but if you don't like electronics work don't bother. Modern ecus are worse in that they have smd components so you need good eyes and fine soldering skills.

Have you got a B2L or B2LS?
Post up a pic of the end of the ecu - they vary slightly according to date of manufacture. Is it an Eberspacher one or a Hella?
20 1609 is the start of the number for a petrol heater fitted to Jokers up to 12/1980. Can't find a 20 1607 though.
Found a sold one on ebay:
Eberspächer Nr.: 20 16 07 50 00 00
Hella Nr.: 5HB 003 725-00
B / D1L, B / D2L, B / D3L
Should be good to go so long as the sockets match to yours.

That is the same code as one of the ones I found in my van when I bought it. Have the pictures here.
I should have the controller somewhere if you want to try it. It would not work with my D2L but if yours is original for your van then there is a possibility it might be OK.
Although they say D2L and B2L on the case I am sure there must be differences due to the timings for heating up diesel oil compared to firing sparks to ignite petrol.
I know the later diesel ones have a different thermostat which allows the eber to switch to low heat rather than simply on off which is hard on your battery. I can't remember if the controller also needs to be changed for use with the later stat but if so that might explain the differences in part numbers for early and late Jokers.
