Firstly, how difficult is it to pick up a pair of the larger electric (and heated?) mirrors?

Secondly, will these parts any easier to source in mainland Europe?

Cheers.

It was discussed some time back.I seem to remember. But the details escape me now.I think you have to alter the motors somehow.

no need to alter the motors its the base plate what needs altering as the lugs are in a different position ,

ooh, this sounds promising. Am I right in thinking that they are bigger than standard mirrors?

I swapped my standard ones for leccy ones and tbh there is little difference as a mirror they just look better. For improved rearward vision I would have thought syncro style ones would be the best.

Aye but they look agricultural though dont they :run
there was a long thread about this , wiring to alter for rhd and switch location, making sure you door fames have the cut out for the switch, conduit for the cables from door to A post, 3rd hole to make , some folk bung a rivnut in here ,it works but not ideal, none of this is rocket science ,just needs a bit of thought, as said they look noice but dont give much more view than a std set,
mm

Someone (might have been on here?) fitted Mx5 mirrors and I think they are convex? Looked nice and a better view.

MX5 mirrors sound interesting as I imagine they are not so difficult to obtain. Just need to find the thread now!!!!

Fitting mirrors from a small hairdressers car just seems wrong. You may as well stick two dentists mirrors on

I searched for them and found the thread. Yes, you're right, they don't look right as they're very rounded. Not at all in keeping with a 'wedge' or 'brick'.

What you want is wardrobe mirrors on, held in place with ducktape. :D
