Oil sensor leak

Hi all,
I have just taken "Mimi" (83 1.9 DF) for a run after a month or so and had a nice line of oil follow me home. on the plus side the oil light works.
Ive taken the gard off from around the pushrods and the oil is leaking from the oil pressure sensor. It could be possible that its been gradually dripping and has finally gone due to the cold? i dunno.

I cant get the part out tonight and will have to get a bigger spanner in the morning but would like to get the part ordered first thing. Does anyone know the part number for this? and is it likly that replacing this sensor will fix the leek or is it a sign of a bigger problen that is common?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Do I understand you to mean the oil pressure switch

If so these are cheap and easy to replace,

They do fail, and weep oil.

Usually a 26mm spanner to remove, but it should only be 'nipped up'

This is due to the thread being slightly conical.

Check that the wiring and spade connector are in good condition.

You will find compatible switches with Brickwerks.

Cordialement,

These switches are readily available at brickwerks
You require the low pressure (0.3)bar blue switch
