Out of interest, what are the things to look out for when checking if a wheel will take the weight? A B5 Passat estate weighs 1489kg, and has a a max payload of 591kg.

Does this mean that B5 Passat wheels will be ok up to 2080kg?

the factory passat alloys will be designed to far exceed the maximum gross weight of the vehicle and should have the weight rating on them, taiwanese copies made of cheese dont usually have the weight rating on them
