Hi,
Need to replace my front headlights and saw a pair on eBay that were taken from an 1989 crew cab.
Would these fit an early 85?

Need to make sure before I bid...

Yes as long as they're UK RHD headlights.

Ask the seller if they've got an arrow under the H4 sign....if so they're RHD ones.

Looking at them though they don't look in that good a condition.

Fit them with a pair of Osram Nightbreakers and you'll think you're driving a different vehicle!

No I haven't...I was merely pointing out the price of new ones compared to rusty old ones.

Almost definately lamps only, so you have to swap over the headlamp mounting frames (basically twist the plastic bayonet fittings 90 degrees and they pop out) these can be a little brittle.

No echo, but Covkid was pointing out a previous thread where I had originally posted these lights...at that time they were out of stock...I was merely highlighting that they are now listed as in stock.

So.....my local branch didn't have them on the shelf but they are showing 9 in stock at the depot. With a bit of persuasion I've talked them into ordering two in for this afternoon. I'm ringing them back later once the guy has one in his hand and he can tell me exactly what he has.

I've already been able to determine that this is a universal part. Now that's no suprise given many other vehicles around the early 80's used round Hella headlamps...infact, if this does turn out to be as advertised, the cheapness is down to the fact that it universal and not listed specifically for a T25.

It definately won't come with it's mounting bracket but that can easily be swapped over from the old 'tungsten' lamp.

I'll post my findings.

OK.....They are Not Hella brand but definately the correct fitment and H4 for R/H/D...

What can I say..gotta be better than early P45t 410 tungsten rounds and around £22.00 the pair posted (after 20% discount code applied)

Agree Martin. On that basis I'll pick some up myself. Mind you, then it'll mean a fair bit of faffing getting the lights aimed right again.

I'm just as keen to see how you go on with them mate...

Thanks for the threads guys. To be honest I feel that it failed its mot due to the lights not being able to be aligned properly. If this is the case then I feel I need new mounting brackets. Possibly nothing wrong with the lights themselves. Can you buy the brackets separately? If not where can I buy the lights with brackets attached?

I paid my mot man a couple of quid to his tea fund to set mine

Probably the adjusters have seized or have broken.
