Hi guys,haven't used my camper for a few weeks as its been in for an interior refit.went to use the heater today and nothing,changed fuse,which had blown,still nothing,checked fuse again and was blown again!
What should I check first before removing dash to access blower motor?

Do you think its worth pulling the connector off the blower speed control switch and sticking 12v straight into the full speed wire (which I think is the yellow wire) - with an appropriate fuse inline just to see if you can kick it back into life before you have to go for the full strip down?

Is that not the same as putting the blower on top speed? Motor's seized surely.

It just eliminates a couple of the switches in the circuit (which might be robbing a bit of power), and is a last ditch (easy) attempt before having to do the (probably) inevitable

Thanks guys,wouldn't that be the same as turning blower switch to full with ignition off,then turning ignition on?

In theory you'll get a bit of a voltage drop across the ignition switch (or is it the X relay) and a bit of a voltage drop across the fan rotary switch - it just eliminates all of these in the 'vain hope' that you can kick start the motor with the mx voltage possible - probably won't work but it's worth a try given the pain in the neck that getting the fan motor out is.
