The difference between transporter 78PS and transporter 112?

Hi, I've been looking for a T25 high top and have seen a few over the past week. I'm going to see another one tomorrow and it is listed as a VW T25 (model Transporter 112), the others I have seen were transporter 78ps.

What is the difference between the two and is one better than the other? Is there anything I need to be aware of as regards to the 112? Things that are prone to go wrong? etc

Any help would be much appreciated. :ok
Apologies if this is the wrong section I've posted in.

Thanks.

I'm sure a knowledgeable wizard will be along shortly - and answer this fully.
My van is a 1915cc DG coded engine which is (according to the Registration Document) a '78ps'. I gather that relates to the power output, and my type of engine was also available in a smaller size too. As for 112....? No idea, but hazard a guess it'll use more fuel than mine?! :ok

112= the bhp, so should be a 2.1dj engine. Best of the WBX engines, has injection instead of carb.

That's great, thanks for clearing that up.

The engine is a 2.1 and was replaced 3 years ago by the engine shop.
