If you get a good/confident welder to work his magic then they are salvageable. But I wouldn't get anyone to weld them because they are a vital part of the van.

Go get them grit blasted before you do anything. Coat of Rustoleum is fine. Did mine like that. You can chuck more money at them but a grit blast and a coat of paint will be fine. If you blast them, you won't need Vactan.

yes.... and probably adviseable too. That said, is your van a 'keeper' ? - as with the arms already off, for the sake of two new bushes.....

stick a nut and bolt through the bush with a washer on each end, tape ! what do you think the blasting will do to that

we used to use wooden washers (bits of ply) and threaded bar for big bushes and for parts that could get damaged like threads fill them with correct bolts /fittings
Denso tape around machined stubs /axles and then cardboard covers and cable ties - Depends on who is doing the blasting!
If you are doing it with one of them home booth ones then they can be as fine as airbrushing - whilst industrial blasters using "shot".

We've just bought a farm house with garage and barn with half an acre out back (for less than a narrow boat) and have just ordered a 9x4m poly tunnel.
We also have chickens and a few fruit trees.
I have started brew my own ales, cider and wines.
My wife looks after this lot full time and we sell off what we can.
I still have to go to work though but I love my job.
