Hi everyone!Got a electrlox 3 way fridge,lights on gas,but dosnt cool, dosnt cool on 240 volt either,not tried on 12volt yet!Anty ideas was going to try the upside down trick,but i think that only works for the gas side!Is that correct?Any help advice would be great.Any body on here fix them? Thanks adam

I serviced mine at home. Removed it, cleaned up the back, dismantled the gas burner parts and had them cleaned in an ultrasound bath at work (!)
Turned fridge upside down for 24hrs (which mixes the refridgerant so I was told - thus should affect all three methods of running the fridge?). Replaced it all and got it finally fitted and tested by a Gas Safe chap I know... Runs a treat now

How long did you leave it on for Adam ? Hope I'm not "teaching Grandma to suck eggs" but they don't start to feel cold for a couple of hours or more.

E D I T = ps, On 12 volts, unless driving, the battery will run flat before it gets remotely cold.

I had this problem with the fridge in my folding caravan last year. Turning upside down for 24 hours worked for me too. Try it

thanks guys and girls,il try the upside down trick first,fingers crossed itl be ok.Yeh john i left it on for a few hrs,i always try the 12 volt side with a long drive,never have much luck with fridges and propex.Im just about to advertise a t4 autosleeper pop top,thought great the fridge lit on gas and the propex worked straight away,then the bloody fridge didnt get cold...Its a shame there isnt some one on here who fixes these fridges! thanks again

it may be 2 issues.

is the element getting warm on 240v?

the fridge can be lit on gas , looks like a good flame too , but remove the jet , usually its clogged , enough to show a flame ,not enough to get the fridge hot enough!

you also need to make sure the flame deflector is in the tube.

i have stripped / cleaned lots of fridges many were not working , but after a little service good as new! eletrolux especially last forever ( plastics break tho and shelves rust)

tried the turning upside down trick,first time after on 240 worked a bit,next time it wouldnt,i can hear it bubbling on 240,something ive not heard them do before.Tried on gas wouldnt get cold.Billy only just seen your post,thankyou,il have a look again.May be easier to buy a second hand one,or does any one fix these?thanks

all you need are some tools.

strip the jet , very simple.

an airline is good but not essential.

hold the jet up to the light and see if the hole is nice and round, sometimes you can see the obvious blockage ,sometimes not .
you can use a pin / needle to clear the hole but try not to enlarge it.
