did they ever do ac vans with the later plastic vents as opposed to the steel pressings

I think there was more built with the plastic. The metal vents look nicer on a air cooled i think

funny but its something ive never taken much notice off.till you start looking

I think they only made them with metal vents for the first couple of years (i either read it myself somewhere or made it up).

Mine has metal vents and looks better in my opinion. Except when it come to painting it

Mine, '82, has plastic vents, Dad's (Sarran1955), '79, has metal vents. Both Aircooled, CTs.

Metal vents look nicer, in my opinion.

My Dad's 'W' reg 1981 had metal

i have some panels cuts somewhere if someone wants to convert to steel vents......

prob rusty now tho
