Is it possible to run a home lcd room stat on a eberspacher as i only have a on off switch

Yes, like a Honeywell room stat.

It depends upon what function you require - if you have a modern heater a room stat will not drop the heat down usually - just turning it off leading to high battery usage as the glow plug will be requiring large amounts of power each time.
Specify what heater you have to get more meaningful responses.

Definitely only on and off function. Far easier to flick the switch off then.
