1987 T25 watercooled 1.9 DG . Hi I`ve got a small hole inside the inlet manifold that is leaking water . Bought some alloy brazing rods but I`m struggling to heat the manifold metal sufficiently to melt the alloy rods. Tried using butane/propane blow torch but not hot enough. Any ideas on this or any other brainwaves on how to block the hole or failing that does anyone know where there`s an inlet manifold for sale. Thanks

Hi thanks, yes we`ve tried this product firstly but no matter what we do the putty doesn`t seem to stick to the metal sufficiently.

Have you tried Lumiweld sticks it flows at lower temperatures.

The problem is the lack of pre-heating I suspect, preheating in an oven turned up full would help.

Can it not be cured by the laying on of hands?
