about £1000 for a cheap blow over what will only last a couple of months before its bubbling back through the paint , to around £5000 for a proper job better of looking for a rust free van what does not need painting and adding the price of the paint job to the budget , that way it will still look rust free in a few years time ,

the 5k would not be the limit to a top end job/price as much would depend on the work prior to painting . difficult one to answer as where do you draw the line between painting as in just that and repairs and painting,

Have you looked at the alternative roller painting system which is much cheaper?

Van is in pretty good nick really not much rust but few bubbles on seams couple of scabby places just starting to show just really wondering what best option would be to stop this or is there nothing really but wait for it to come through. I reg wash and wax to keep it at bay for as long as Poss but the van is kept outside And used daily

dont much matter wether you throw a can of paint over it with a roller or stick it in a booth and spray it , all the important work is done prior to this

if theres rust already there . even if you cut it out or sandblast it all you are doing is slowing it down its only time till it comes back through , better of looking for a rust free van

Sounds like you're asking the wrong question, tbh. Paint is for making it look pretty, no more, no less. You want to be looking at the metalwork repairs and protection that's needed before painting.

You have two vans with minimal visible rust. It's a very big difference.

indeed, no visible rust is what i think he means, and not botched over either, they are about but it is there hidden just a matter of how pedantic we wish to be
