I got an exhaust from Mr Baxter too, and then got myself a stainless stud kit off eGay. I just checked, and they are no longer listed, but will find out the sellers id, and let you know. It was something like T25partsshop or alike.

Yes I found some stainless ones on the bay too. Sellers disappeared now though so I can't link to a set....

Personally I went for titanium bolts all round when I did this, studs didn't make sense to me if you want to drop it in the future.

Depending of the system shape you are installing (and I think that Brickwerks retains the standard pipe radius' etc up close to the manifolds) you will use 6 x studs with nuts and 2 x bolts. Using news studs (JK do em too, but you can also get them from your local exhaust fitters, or even Hellfrauds) with a liberal coating of Copperslip, and aim to change them every 3 years (easier than it sounds, as you dont actually disturb the exhaust system).
The biggest tip is that you should use proper (brass) exhaust nuts, and they are available in a 1mm narrower spanner size (iirc - Brickwerks again?) which REALLY helps in two of the stud locations. . .
Just googled studs and brass nuts - lots of mail order next day suppliers out there matey...

Thanks for all the tips, anyone know the size, thread and length, I think they are are M8 course ??
Any tips on getting the studs out without snapping, I suppose if I had asbestos arms engine hot would be good, but then I'd have to get them all out in 5 minutes before it cools !!! Is local heat feasible, or is it a bad idea on an ally head? Petrol boom bang is also a slight concern !!

Hey Hacksawbob, I'm assuming you used titanium studs for their non-seizing and anti rusting properties?? Could you let me know where you got yours? (I have a 1989 1.9 petrol WBX)
Cheers
Matt

Hi I bought them online but I don't have the website anymore. Google search should find what you need.
