Hello all,

pls let me introduce myself and my vehicle: a 85 Syncro TDI (former DG).
I travelled from munich to Cape Town with this car - it's really proven itself.
Next summer I think about touring in GB, maybe I can find some mates here :)

Best,
Holger

P.S: find my pics of my tour here: http://ostroute-afrika.blogspot.de/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (all in german...)

Hi Holger and welcome,

loads of cool places to go in the UK, especially with a Syncro  I can forward you some places we like that should add to the UK experience for you. What time of year are you heading over?

While I wait for a reply I am off to translate your website and have a good read, I might be gone for a while

Jed

Hello,

thanks for you fast reply :)

Would be nice to have some recommendations where to go - till now i haven't seen much of GB :)
When to go? I think as soon as the weather is good enough for some camping experience...but before that there is a lot to repair at the vehicle..

Best,
Holger

Avoid GB - stay in France, it's nicer :)

But if you really must, there's lots of us guys, I'm local to Bath - it's good for Roman Sight seeing and erm.... Beer (well Frome and Box are)
If you are looking for off roading - plenty to do on Salisbury plains, and into dark places, there is plenty up at Box to mooch about with a torch
