Camper Conversions Advice

I am looking to buy a van in the New Year and want a 1987-ish onwards 4-berth High Top. I am primarily looking at Autohomes, Autosleeper, Westfalia, Holdsworth conversions. What peoples' thoughts on these? Are there any others I should consider or are there any I should specifically avoid?
Having only been monitoring the market since September, when is the best time of year to buy? Does it rise sharply in Spring and drop in Autumn or is it fairly flat year round?
Thanks...

i like autohomes as well, good all round, nice shaped roofs as well also a wider bed, holdsworths normally have the best bodies but the worst shaped roofs, but also give full length head room, autosleepers best interior build tho have nearly always have the worst bodies, never had westys so cant coment on them.early autohomes suffer a bit around the windows as well as the usual bits, units normally better in pre 88 but better looking in later ones.A/sleepers rot under roof(h/top),windows,etc.Dont discount leisure drives tho often built on ex buiders vans.Pay your money take your choice.I sell more vans in the winter,as people think its the best time to buy,ive had about 15 calls in the last couple of daysPrice stays the same all year, regardless of myth of cheap vans in the winter.I watch the market hourly(its my job to)Hope this helps.O and before anyone suggests or thinks im not using this section to try to flog someone a van, dont need to.adam ps this is my opinion only before i upset anyone

We really like our Holdsworth Villa hightop, loads of stand up space because the roof strenghteners are built into the hightop. Bunks are only suitable for youngish children as large area but pretty shallow. Cupboards and storage space is excellent, the gas locker normally takes 2 x 907s but can take 2 x 4.5kg calor with some "adjustmnet" to the back (inside) of the cupboard.
Has everything else you would normally need, Swivel passenger, Erber, Zig, 3 way fridge, mains etc.
Very quick from living to sleeping unlike some.
