Is this distributor ok?

The Hall Sender has packed in and I am wondering if I should buy the expensive replacement unit from Brickwerks, the slightly less expensive JK unit or if I should replace the whole distributer - after all it is over 25 years old. It is a 1985 1.9 DG wbx.
Saw this on ebay and wondered if it would be a suitable replacement?
Item no. 150931878857
Advice?

Are you sure the Hall sensor is the problem? All a Hall sensor is, is a magnetic switch. All that can really go wrong with them is a wire breaking. Here's a link to a thread from when I was testing my dizzie.

It might be a magnetic switch but it is still a semiconductor just like a transistor which can fail.

Saw this on the Ignition Car Parts site

I'm wondering if I should get this and modify the plug from the ICU loom to fit or if I should go for the repair kit from Brickwerks at twice the price

Got the dizzy from Ignition Car Parts Ltd - super fast delivery. It is an exchange part, so an extra £25 + vat which I will get refunded when the old unit is sent back. Looks identical to the old unit, very slight filing of the corners of the multi plug to get a nice fit. I had a lot of difficulty forcing the the new rubber seal into the block, but got it in and everything seems to be working great. I will get the timing checked with a strobe, but it can't be far off as she drives and ticks over fine.
So fingers crossed that the van will be ok now, not much left to replace frankly.
Hope you all had a good festive time.
