Tips for 4 month break?

I'm off to afghan for 4 months and can't persuade the wife to drive the bus whilst I'm away!

Has anyone got any tips or "must do's" to park up the bus for that amount of time? Planning to take out both batteries and possibly cover with a breathable cover (if they make one for a high top). It will be outside, in a safe location from Jan - May.

Any ideas greatly appreciated,

JW

Just a thought; I used to garage my Westfield over winter and one time the clutch 'stuck'. A right bugger to free it off. Maybe get the wife to pump the clutch once a week? Petrol goes off too and pretty quickly these days but you can buy stabilizers to alleviate this.

Four months? I'd just remove the battery earth leads.

We've just got the 205 out of the lockup it's been sat in for the 18 months we were away. It needed the jumpbox to help it start, and the back brakes came free with a little bit of a jolt because I'd forgotten to leave the handbrake off, but other than that - nothing. Come spring, the 2cv'll be out - but that'll be nearer 2.5yrs since it was last touched. I don't expect any problems with it.
