trailingarm bush

Was about to mount the liftspacer on my left rear spring when i noticed the knob for the spring on the trailingarm was rusted of.
Well its no biggie since i have a spare set but i looked at the bushings today, and then i looked at a pair of pu bushings on the web and i cant wrap my head around how i am supposed to press then either out or in?

i would understand if they were parted in 2 halves but if they arent i really dont understand how it is done :rofl
Anyone of you gurus who can tell me or perhaps even show pics of the procedure?
Would be very gratefull for anything.

Alex

looking at the tapered tool, im assuming the bush is supposed to be compressed in some maner?
There is nothing about it on wiki though.

Can i buy real rubberbushings from vag or some webshop or are the pu bushes better?

my armes are equippped with a thin plastic shim under the spring. I was told or i have heard that on syncros it supposed to be an aluminum disc.
Im gonna try and weld up the arm and knob but. Can the aluminum discs be bought anywhere?

Aluminium discs only on either TD or 16", we've got the last set of diesel ones and Ian is looking at remanufacture costs, we know where there's a pair of new 16" ones to copy too (well almost know eh Si, )
what was fitted to a 16" Diesel I don't know
