oil spray from exhaust on start up

Hi i have oil spray on start up sometimes coming out of my exhaust on a 2 litre Aircooled also have a bit of oil in my airbox lid. Any ideas. Steve
I doubt it's oil, it's most likely soot from the exhaust on choke.
Oil in the breather is normal
