Picking up on the arctic thread, coincidentally , last night I was looking at and ruminating on, whether I should keep the coolant heater set up on the panel van, it's a Finnish van and spent much of its life up in the north. It's got the three pin socket screwed to the rear valence next to the service flap. There is also a spur that runs to the cab that a aux. heater was plugged into aparrently. My question is , should I keep the wiring and socketry, can it be co-opted into some other use? The routing etc is all well done in conduit and clipped back to chassis etc.

Who's going to mention pie heater first?

its probably a defa system they are often used in scandanavia, heres a link to all there stuff

it would be quite easy to set up a camper for a night heater but only if you had mains so it would be great for camping sites or at home but not much use for wild camping
