Hi,

Found this forum searching Google for info on leisure batteries - brilliant!

From this two-year-old thread:

I've decided a Bosch 110A leisure battery (such as: http://www.justcarbatteries.co.uk/index ... 10amp.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) would be good for me - I'll rarely have an electric hookup and need power for a few lights, laptop and phone chargers and maybe even a TV for up to a few days).

Would you agree this advice? I've also read that it's not ideal having the battery inside the vehicle (fumes??) - is this true or poppycock?

Nice battery and hopefully not destined for the battery box as it's too tall....just in case you hadn't realised.
Obviously ignore this if it's for another location.... but if you had intended to fit it in one of the battery boxes then: boxes with hinged lids in the T3 can accomodate upto...and this is very very close about 185mm height, 175mm being the prefered low profile size.

I would also say....for one 110ah leisure you might be asking too much. Laptops/TV/chargers & lights for 2/3 days.....it might be a close thing, depending on just how many hours of use?


As for having the batteries inside: well there are already two battery boxes that VW fitted behind the seats and I would recommend the use of vent tubing to take any gasses straight down and out.
