Anyone got any sleepy spots close to Plymouth? Early ferry so don't want to have to travel too far if possible.

Caravan club site at Plymouth sound.....nice views and not like a club site.....10 mins Max to the ferry.

Check if its open though..

I couldn't get from that site to Millbay in ten minutes on a motorbike and I think it's closed from 1st october.

I stayed there this year.....you can see the ferry port from the site...are we talking about the same one....7 miles from the boat.

I don't know when the OP is traveling but the roadworks on the east side of Plymouth have been chaos for the last couple of months. Google maps reckons its a 17 minute drive but the delays could easily add 30-40 minutes to that on a bad day.

...thats probably the one then...17 minutes sounds about right ( mines a diesel...so I can shave a bit of that)

Worst case I think is that you can park up just before the check in at Milbay. I've seen motorhomes and campers there when we've arrived for early ferries. Loos that are open 24/7 nearby and its free. Way to go!
