I've been watching the military conversion, off and on. It's great to watch the work being done, but it's a shame I can't understand a word they're saying. Can't help but think his budget must be enormous - talk about no expense spared! I was also surprised, in the very first episode, at just how many vehicles he had to choose from.

It wasnt his budget. The car was commissioned by that TV-show. Great work. But not entirely to my taste. Why not keep it army green? Black and (too much) orange is a little tacky to me. But hey, you cant turn everyone into a salmon (norwegian saying)

I agree....a bit tacky.
I think they overlooked some very obvious upgrades.....Thats why I wrote "WTW".....where's the winch? Essential kit for extreme overlanding or weekend greenlaning (ref to Das Mules recent escapades).

It was just great to see some of the processes we often read about on the forum (tackling the bodywork, TDi upgrade, gear box overhaul, brake upgrades.....) in a visual form. (That's probably why so many of us also like Jed's video's).

Just watched the whole series.

Wow what a great vehicle, though I couldn't warrant 42,500Euro's on a build.

Not sure about the colour scheme or the pop top but thats what a personal thing.

The quality is awesome though, wouldn't turn it away if I was offered it.

By the way Jed, I reckon you should get some of those mechanics overalls. May be some money to be made with you and Bernd starting a boy band!!! Perhaps loosly based on Village People

I was quite liking the poptop. Anyone know what that kind of roof is called & who made/makes it?

Not that I speak German, but they definitely said Reimo at one point when they were filming the roof.
